Daniel Burton, a Petty Harbour resident and proud member of WritersNL, has been awarded the 2024 Equinor ArtsSmarts Scholarship. With a background in English Literature and a University of New Brunswick Currie Scholarship under his belt, Daniel is a force to be reckoned with in the literary world. His impressive portfolio includes four novels and a collection of short stories, demonstrating his versatility and passion for storytelling. As a Holy Heart graduate with an IB certificate in English Literature, Daniel's academic prowess is evident, and his scholarship will undoubtedly propel his literary career to new heights.

Lauren Patten, a talented actor and singer from St. John's, has been chosen as the 2025 ArtsSmarts Scholarship recipient.
